Seneca Lodge…
Even at over 7000 square feet of luxurious living space, Seneca Lodge can be summed up in three letters…W-O-W!
As if lifted from the pages of Architectural Digest, the lodge isn’t only amazingly photogenic, it’s amazingly comfortable, intimate and cozy.
Handcrafted from massive logs in British Columbia and reassembled here on Otsego Lake, just 7 miles from world-famous Cooperstown, NY, the fine details incorporated into the structure demonstrates the true craftsmanship involved in creating such a stunning home. And this home can be yours to share with your family and friends for a few days or a few weeks.
Be the hero who organizes a stay at Seneca Lodge…you’ll be rewarded over and over, every time your guests reminisce about the visit to Cooperstown and their time at Seneca Lodge at ArrowHead Pointe, a lakeside enclave of 5 homes. From the babbling brook greeting you at the hand-carved front door, to The Boathouse (which serves as the clubhouse for the property), pool, gazebo, and lake frontage, not a detail was overlooked.
The home offers 5 bedrooms (with sleeping for 12 guests), 5.5 bathrooms, 3 luxurious floors, radiant heated and fully centrally air conditioned…THIS is the home at which to gather with your friends. Entry to the home is on the wide-open main floor where you'll find numerous spaces in which to gather, or to find a little quite space, yet still be in the mix.
The kitchen is…KILLER! 6 burner stainless Viking range, multiple ovens, warming drawer, pantry, micro, sub zero, custom copper sinks, and a 10’ long live-edge slab bar/island with fabulous stools made from apple and cherry wood where your guests will gather round to keep the chef company
Huge, flared cedar log posts support the log framework overhead and serve to define the various spaces. One corner houses a fabulous game table while the opposite is your dining area…a one-piece, natural live-edge, redwood slab table harvested from a dead California tree, surrounded by 12 maple and apple chairs crafted by a preeminent artisan in the Adirondacks. Glass French doors stretch across the full 60’ width of the space providing panoramic views of Otsego Lake and Mt Wellington, on the far side of the water. A cozy grouping of sofas and chairs surrounds the natural wood burning fireplace. A TV sitting area and a private glass enclosed office provide additional gathering spaces.
An en suite and a unique powder room complete the functionality of this floor.
And, oh…all of this is centered on the 3-story atrium where the peeled and polished maple tree rises up 45 feet, through all three floors, to a vaulted roof covered in electronic skylights. A 3-floor, floating staircase made of logs and black birch twig work is suspended from the tree...a private elevator provides guests with effortless access through the entire lodge…ideal for anyone with special needs.
The lower Lake Level is where your guests’ll relax and recreate…One of the three bedrooms on this level features 2 sets of bunk beds made from twisted logs, houses a raised “tree-fort” with “emergency escape” slide made from branches and clear plexiglass…every child who has the chance to sleep and explore this space will never forget it!
A wet bar serves the family room with its large flat screen, a pool table and a second wood burning fireplace. The game room with foosball and multiple electronic games is accessed from this space. Open up the family room French doors and step out to the 60’ long bluestone patio…views of the lake and bluestone steps lead guests to the lake activities. Or, up the exterior circular stairs back to the main floor.
The upper floor is the dedicated master suite...one not to be forgotten! Full cathedral spaces with cedar posts, exposed beams, mirrors…all circulating around the atrium and upper branches of the massive tree. The master king bed is made from polished cedar trees and sits in front of a floor to ceiling stone fireplace (easy on-off propane-fueled for your convenience). 2 side sitting rooms provide extra privacy. Jetted tub and glass enclosed shower area are backed by “rain forest” granite, tying into the cedar trees and branches theme. Skylights throughout these upper floor spaces let in sunshine and fresh air.
The Boathouse, which serves as the clubhouse for the property, is partially suspended over the lake. THIS is the place to enjoy the early morning sun as it lights up the lake while you sip your steaming cup of joe. In the evening, bring your wine and fave beverages and watch the over-the-shoulder sunsets as the water colors itself from blue to yellow, to amazing colors of orange and purple…all while the loons and a variety of song birds sing their last songs before settling in for another night.
Come on in and take a self-guided, fully immersive, 3D 360° Tour right now!
Three different rooms on The Boathouse main floor provide relaxing spaces, each with fireplace, exposed logs in the vaulted spaces support a variety of vintage watercraft. The lower level has a game room with ping pong table, foosball, air hockey and handmade birch bark bar. Three bathrooms are located in The Boathouse.
Numerous French doors on both levels swing out to access the upper balconies and the lower level lake front walkway.
Nearby, is the free-form heated pool (open May 15th- October 15th) overlooking the lake, the gazebo and waterfront. Kayaks are available for your use along with a swimming/boating dock where you can tie up your boat or have a rented boat delivered and ready for your use. Fishing, sunning, swimming…it’s all waiting for your arrival.
Bring your family and friends, your corporate executive team, the bridal party, the bachelorette party, the celebrations and reunions of every flavor… and of course, Seneca Lodge serves as simply the best accommodations in the region for baseball families.
