ON OTSEGO LAKE
ArrowHead Pointe is a lakeside enclave of 5 handcrafted log homes, constructed in British Columbia, Canada, and trucked to Cooperstown where they were assembled by local artisans.
Three of the lodges are available for guests rental:
(The remaining two lodges are private vacation homes, rarely used by their owners)
SENECA LODGE (5 bedrooms, 12 guests max)
ONEIDA LODGE (4 bedrooms, 10 guests max)
CAYUGA LODGE (3 bedrooms, 8 guests max)
AHP offers its guests outstanding amenities; it’s one of the region’s only lakefront properties with a heated swimming pool! Adjacent to the freeform gunite pool and overhanging Otsego Lake is The Boathouse, (the property’s clubhouse). It features wrap-around-covered-decks, 3 fireplaces, 3 bathrooms, and a central entertainment room with a vintage birchbark canoe hanging under a 12 foot-long sky light. Flanking side-rooms (one with Adirondack-style game tables/chairs and the other with period sofa and upholstered chairs) showcase an antique kayak and canoe resting amongst the overhead log rafters.
The lower lake level boasts a spectacular birchbark bar and games, such as air hockey, foosball and ping pong. French doors swing open to a lakeside walkway providing access to the log and twig gazebo, beach area and swim/boat dock.
Kayaks and canoe (along with life preservers) are provided for guest’s use. Additional kayaks, canoes and even paddle boards can be rented with free delivery right to the dock. Likewise, pontoon boats, ski boats and fishing boats are available for rent nearby and can be docked at the property.
Each of the three AHP lodges are beautifully decorated and well equipped. Naturally flared, large-diameter cedar posts support massive Douglas fir structural beams. Cathedral spaces. Flat Screen TV’s in every bedroom and common spaces. Decks and balconies on main and upper floors, bluestone patios on the lakeside of each home and a water fall at every front entryway. Circular milled, wide-plank pine flooring is radiant heated. Cayuga and Seneca lodges have private elevators and wood burning and propane fireplaces while Oneida features a natural wood burning stone fireplace. All three lodges have sweeping, 3-story log staircases which revolve around 42’ tall trees, topped with banks of electronically controlled, rain sensitive skylights. Walls of glass with lake and mountain views open the lodges to the beautiful surrounding areas.
Kitchens: Wolf ranges, Sub Zero side by side fridge/freezer, Azco dishwashers, hand-hammered copper stove hoods fashioned by our local blacksmith, copper kitchen and island sinks set in granite counters, maple and cherry cabinetry crafted by local Amish cabinetmakers, drip coffee makers and Keurig machines in all lodges, well stocked with pots and pans, cutlery and glassware.
The lodges at AHP represent an opportunity to experience, enjoy and share extraordinarily beautiful and unique spaces for special occasions such as family and college reunions, rehearsal dinners, friends/couples getaways, off-site business meetings and of course, as a place at which to make life-long memories of family lake-side vacations.
